PhD Sociology | Presidential Postdoctoral Research Fellow

I’m a Presidential Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Princeton University’s Department of Sociology.

My research agenda sits at the intersection of political sociology, health inequality, and the study of immigration and racial stratification.

In one area of my work I investigate how declines in democratic governance, and the rollback of social rights affect the health of marginalized groups and the population as a whole. In the second area I examine how exposures to intersecting systems of racial and legal stratification accumulate across the life course to shape health, wellbeing, and socio-economic outcomes.

I study these topics using large-scale population data, longitudinal surveys, and a variety of quantitative methods, including causal inference techniques, demographic methods, and longitudinal modeling.

My research has been published in Demography, Population and Development Review, Socius, & JAMA Network Open.
